Agroforestry Summary
We specialize in Agroforestry planting stock. This includes low maintenance fruit and nut trees, berry bushes, and planting stock for a variety of edibles and medicinal plants cultivated under a forest canopy. Our goal is to provide other restoration minded landowners with regionally adapted planting stock and some hard to find species. We believe that perennial crops benefit the world in very powerful ways. Our values are reciprocity with the land and the other life forms we share it with, a deep understanding that humans and our activities are not separate from nature and that generation of food, medicine and other resources can all add to the health of the ecosystem through proper management practices and right relation with land.
Planting Stock Production
We are establishing small scale commercial plantings of Chestnut, Persimmon, Paw Paw, and Elderberry. Once these orchards come into production we will be offering U-pick/U-forage as well nursery plants from cuttings and seeds from our trees. We are new so are just starting to have plants for sale. On the list this year are potted elderberries, potted ginseng and ramp seeds. Next year we will be adding Elderberry stakes, and a variety of nut trees both potted and bare root.
