Agroforestry Summary:

In 2017, the Appalachian Harvest Food Hub expanded to include the Appalachian Harvest Herb Hub in it's Duffield Virginia facility. Our goal is to help build and support a thriving and sustainable herbal economy in Central Appalachia, where plant conservation is achieved through profitable cultivation. Every year we offer Wild Stewards Alliance bulk planting stock for people who are entering into or expanding their forest farming operation.

Planting Stock Production:

We generally offer the following forest botanicals by the pound

  • Black Cohosh - Actaea racemosa

  • Blue Cohosh - Caulophyllum thalictroides

  • Wild Yam - Dioscorea villosa

  • Solomon Seal - Polygonatum biflorum

  • Goldenseal - Hydrastis canadensis

Contact us:

Contact us by emailing Robin Suggs - rsuggs@asddevelop.org or by visiting the Herb Hub website at https://www.asdevelop.org/programs-resources/appalachian-harvest-herb-hub/

**Please note that forest botanical planting stock is seasonal, and not always listed on the the website. Please contact Robin to learn more.
