We are glad to share that the Association for Temperate Agroforestry (AFTA) is officially reviving its signature newsletter, The Temperate Agroforester. Re-launching as a biannual publication, this newsletter serves as a vital peer-to-peer platform for practitioners, researchers, and professionals to exchange news and insights across the North American agroforestry landscape.

Share Your Story: Summer 2026 Edition

AFTA is currently seeking contributors for the upcoming summer issue. Whether you are managing a silvopasture pilot, conducting forest farming research, or implementing innovative alley cropping designs, they want to hear from you.

Key Details for Contributors:

  • Who can submit? Both AFTA members and non-members are encouraged to share their work.

  • Content: Articles should be between 500–1,500 words and include 1–4 high-quality photos or graphics.

  • Accessibility: While the newsletter is an exclusive member benefit upon release, articles will be moved to a public archive once the subsequent issue is published.

  • Style: AFTA is looking for "jargon-free" writing that is accessible to a broad audience of practitioners and enthusiasts alike.
