This community food forest is spread across two sites at Montgomery College's Takoma Park. Silver Spring campus in Montgomery County, MD. The food forest is designed to address high rates of food insecurity among college students as well as provide a free resource for the surrounding community (food, plants, space for events).
Agroforestry Summary
We bring communities together to design, install, and maintain a network of community food forests on public and private land while sharing the knowledge and skills needed to increase people’s understanding of food forestry, regenerative land stewardship, and ecologically-sound food systems.
