Supported Practices
The program is specifically focused on helping producers design, plant, and manage three foundational agroforestry practices:
Silvopasture: Integrating trees, forage, and livestock into a single, mutually beneficial system.
Alley Cropping: Planting wide rows of high-value trees or shrubs alongside companion crops in the alleys.
Windbreaks: Establishing linear plantings of trees or shrubs to protect crops, shield livestock, and conserve soil moisture.
