Agroforestry Practices Supported
The Xerces Society's Pollinator and Agricultural Biodiversity Program has several teams working to support the creation of pollinator and beneficial insect habitat, and hedgerow planning and planting is a major part of this effort. Our team works closely with the USDA Natural Resource Conservation Service to help refine Farm Bill Conservation Program support for hedgerows and other habitat practices, and supports farmers and ranchers in habitat planning. We also work closely with food companies to support farmers in their supply shed with hedgerow planning and planting.
