Schoolhouse Farm and The Field, Food & Folk Initiative provide educational programs focused on regenerative agriculture, grazing management, agroforestry, homesteading, and local food systems. We host workshops, pasture walks, farm tours, and hands-on learning experiences that help participants develop practical skills related to land stewardship, livestock management, food production, and ecological restoration. Our educational focus is centered on small farms and homesteads, particularly operations managing 30 acres or less.

In addition to group education, we offer one-on-one consulting both in person and online. These consultations help landowners, homesteaders, and beginning farmers evaluate their land, grazing systems, silvopasture opportunities, livestock management, and overall farm goals. Our approach emphasizes practical, observation-based solutions that can be implemented on real farms with real-world constraints.

We also operate a community-based food club that connects families directly with local farmers and producers, helping strengthen regional food systems while increasing access to high-quality local food. Current and planned programming includes regenerative grazing education, silvopasture and agroforestry demonstrations, veteran-focused agricultural training, homestead skills workshops, and community events that foster connections between land, food, and people. Through these efforts, we seek to demonstrate practical approaches to regenerative land management while helping new and experienced land stewards build confidence, skills, and resilience within their own farms and communities.
