More Information
North Central Conservation District (NCCD) offers technical assistance to residendents, municipalities, and organizations that have interest in learning about or adopting agrforestry practices. NCCD offers material for agroforestry projects through its annual native plant sale fundraiser, and assists with locating nursery stock for agroforestry plantings.
NCCD publishes a bi-annual newsletter, Agroforestry Access, that announces upcoming events and learning opportunities, articles on agroforestry practices and soil health, and anything agroforestry-related in the Northeast.
NCCD is working on a project, Edible Riparian Buffer at Tolland County Agricultural Center (ERB at TAC), developing a multi-use riparian buffer that demonstrates the many uses of trees integrated with native plants, including willow and hazel coppicing, and fruit and nut production.
