Agroforestry Practices Supported

The MWFFC began in 2024 from a proposal by faculty and students at the Lincoln University of Missouri and the University of Missouri to promote forest farming in the Midwest. This effort stems from and is supported by the Appalachian Forest Farmer Coalition (AFFC) (formerly ABFFC) and the Northeast Forest Farmers Coalition (NFFC), and aims to expand on these established models within the context of the Midwest region.
We create and provide access to technical knowledge related to forest farming practices, connect new and prospective forest farmers to experienced mentor farmers, host events such as workshops, trainings, and field days, and engage in research through our partner institutions and through citizen science projects to advance the field of forest farming.
