Introduction

Nascent smallhold agroforestry project seeking to foster biodiversity through the re-introduction of native edible and medicinal crops to a previously logged northwest facing mountainside in the Western Catskills. Working slowly to make small adjustments to the landscape with minimal inputs, soil disturbance or fossil fuel use. Thinking critically about the (re)introduction of endemic and naturalized species with the goal of striking the balance between disease resistance, 'invasiveness' and productivity. Interested primarily in the future sale of value added products such as vinegars, tinctures, herbal blends, dried goods, etc.
